Beginning about 1998, I've searched (on and off) for active Linux users groups near my current residence (varied) in WI. I thought I'd try to make it a bit easier on the next person trying to hook up with other Wisconsin Linux'ers. Hence, wisconsinlinux.org.

My intention is to focus on the human/social/local aspect of using Linux. You can find any Linux resource you need via a quick web search, but a real human being takes a bit more effort. So if my ~$8.00 spend on the domain name results in a couple of people getting together to geek-out about Linux/etc., then my goal was met.
